Stirling and Son are fast becoming known as the top builders of the classic clinker dinghy in the UK. Our traditional wooden clinker dinghies are built to the highest standards of mahogany and oak with copper and bronze fastenings. Designed by Will Stirling along traditional lines of the classic yacht tender and traditional rowing dinghy, our craft are known for their practical aesthetics.

The Royal Dinghy
Stirling and Son designed and built a classic dinghy to celebrate the marriage of Prince William and Catherine Middleton in April 2011. The Royal Dinghy has the wedding date in Roman numerals carved into the transom and inlaid in gold leaf. This classic dinghy can be seen in the boat house at Eton College.
